It combines aspects of champagne (mostly the mouth feel) with a good Belgian ale. The rich malty, slightly bitter flavors from the grain bill were there, but it was somewhat muted. Cantillon Bruocsella 1900
Grand Gru
App: cloudy apple juice
Tas: Lambic, tingly gueuze flavor, somewhat bitter and sour

Lurgashall Winery Christmas Mead (Brands United) Mead is made from fermented honey and water, and isn't really beer, although part of the brewing process is similar. It is a very sweet and yummy drink, and a nice alternative to a beer at times, especially if you really like sweet things to drink. Be forewarned that mead has the alcohol content of wine, but it goes down about as smoothly as a light beer or a fruit juice. The night that I tasted this, I made the "mistake" of consuming the entire 750 ml bottle by myself. The rest of the evening was a blur. 12.5% ABV.

Note: 5% ABV; This beer has now thoroughly confounded my ability to add some organizational scheme to beers on this list! Cobra is an Indian-style lager, developed by a brewmaster from Bangalore, contract-brewed in the U.K. and other parts of the world. Krait is a label developed for the export market (to the USA, among others) that is contract-brewed in Poland. Globalization hits the beer brewing industry!?! (Rest. 25Jul2005)

Stefan Razin Kalinkin Beer App: Orange;
Aro: A bit wheaty;
Tas: I found this to be a decent tasting beer, if it was meant to taste like a wheat beer; If it's supposed to be an ordinary lager, it seems to taste like a wheat beer; Other members of the group found it to be quite unlikable.
